Less Is More

Simplicity in advertising is crucial to the success of a company. Advertising messages are frequently ruined by companies who attempt to overanalyze the message and inflate the advertisement with an overabundance of text. Consider outdoor advertising. An effective billboard needs to relay the advertising message in as few words as possible with eye catching images, or creative. If the message isn't properly conveyed from a quick glance, the advertisement is useless.

It is important to meticulously design a simple message that will get through to the targeted demographics without cluttering the advertisement with unnecessary words or phrases. The message needs to be bold and concise if the company intends to grab the attention of its viewers and entice them to take part in the goods or services being advertised. The advertisement must be designed so that the font, focusing on style and size, is legible. A simple, catchy advertisement will communicate the company's message more successfully than one that is complicated and chaotic.
